History

The Martin Rose company was founded by Mr Martin Rose in 1950.

The Martin Rose GmbH & Co. KG company, as it is known today, had its corporate name changed by the managing director Horst Rose in 1977.

Jens Rose became the second managing director in 1986. Today he runs the business on his own.

Throughout the years, the company founded and bought holdings. Subsidiaries and affiliated companies have come onboard throughout the past years. The Martin Rose company has also been involved in international track construction projects since 2000.

The track construction work for the Deutsche Bahn AG, as the main contracting party, and the urban transportation services and private railway companies is being carried out on a nationwide scale; the company is therefore not only active locally. Larger projects are often conducted in cooperation with other work groups from partner companies. This makes way for even more market presence for the Martin Rose company.

The most important inland cooperation partners are the companies w+s bau GmbH and w+s betoninstandsetzung, both of which are located in Kassel. In the field of track construction companies there are in fact further cooperations with companies outside of Nordhessen, like for example Rose-Bau in Lauterbach, Hilbig + Ventzke and Trapp both in Berlin, and SBR in Roßlau.

Welding technology is taken care of by the company RIO in Berlin.

Logistics are covered by BSL in Mittenwald.

There are two further cooperations with companies that rent out track construction machinery: MGW in Berlin and DGU in Koblenz.

We cooperate with the company Großenhainer Ausbau in Großenhain, who has 130 employees, when it comes to building construction work and extension work.

In 2000 the Martin Rose company got involved in international track construction projects. Work on Romanian tram track construction has been ongoing since this time, and in fact 2008 the company recorded more than 20.000.000. Euros of turnover.

In Cameroon the Martin Rose company cooperates with a company called Sitrafer, whose 300 and more employees maintain the track network in the country.

In 2009 and 2010 we are hoping to get our foot in the Finnish track construction market by cooperating with NoviaOy.

This wide range of services that we are delivering both nationally and internationally has put us in the position to deal with all kinds of tasks and activities that one might encounter in the track construction industry, and this around the globe.
